To save money on products sold by weight, a savvy grocery store shopper has revealed her strategy of cutting off excess produce that she doesn't intend to use. She supposed that this is a good way to save money at the market.

According to Daily Mail, Meia Carter, 41, from Florida posted a video in TikTok that quickly went viral. In the video, she snaps off the stalks of broccoli and tosses them into the pile of vegetables before heading to the checkout.

In the video. she shared that: 'I am not paying for these, so I just pull them off and throw them away,' she explained. 'I am only going to pay for what I am going to eat.'
Meia Carter, 41, shares that she cuts off the excess produce, specifically the broccoli stems, as they need to be around 2 inches long. She explains that she can cut the excess produce because she doesn't have any use for them.
The footage has been viewed 5.3 million times and has received thousands of comments from people sharing their thoughts.
